*An Important Message from Annie and Anastasia,
owners of Man in the Moon Bake Shoppe and Cafe

Dear Customers,

We regret to say that Man in the Moon Bake Shoppe and Cafe will be closing our King Ferry location. As of Monday, November 3, 2014, the bakery and cafe was no longer accessible. We haven’t sold our name, business or brand so you might see our products in retail stores in the future.

We would like to thank all of our Man in the Moon foodies and fans for your support through the years. We began building our business four and a half years ago and were thrilled to open a little bakery. Little did we know that it would be so successful and grow into a cafe, wholesale products, and catering.

We had a wonderful experience, however as with any business – constant work and no play causes burn out. Also, this year, we reached our next growth milestone in our business plan — instead of going forward with expansion, we chose not to pursue it. This was a very difficult decision.

We are proud to have been able to contribute in a small way to the Town of Genoa and the neighboring communities of Ithaca, Aurora, Lansing, Cortland, Auburn, Rochester, Binghamton, Syracuse, Manhattan, NJ, PA and beyond. We are grateful and honored that our customers believed in us and supported our healthy choices.

We hope our humble establishment brought happiness to you, our customers, with good food and hospitality. We were happy to host local and regional art exhibits, showcase local musical talents as well as donate to causes that helped the community at large.

Thank you for your patronage and your friendship. We will miss all of you!

Yours truly,

Annie, Anastasia and staff

P.S. A new direction: Annie will continue her graphic design/illustration/marketing studio and Anastasia has exciting prospects awaiting her.
